Privacy Policy

Effective October 16, 2026

Maison D’Or (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through maisondor.ca, why we collect it and how we protect it. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

  1. Information we collect

When you join the private list: your email address, your language and the date you gave your consent.

When you buy a piece or request a commission: your name, email address, telephone number, shipping and billing addresses, and the details of your order. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.

When you write to us: your name, your email address and the content of your message.

  2. How we use it

    • To tell you when a new piece is revealed, if you joined the private list.
    • To process, ship and support your order, including the certificate of authenticity registered to your piece.
    • To answer your questions and manage commissions.
    • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information.

  3. Consent

We send private list emails only to people who have given their express consent. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to atelier@maisondor.ca.

  4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the house: our website host, our email service, our payment provider and our shipping carriers. They may use it only to provide their services to us. Some of these providers may store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

  5. Cookies and tracking

maisondor.ca does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics tools. Our host may keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site secure.

  6. How long we keep it

We keep your email address on the private list until you unsubscribe. We keep order records for as long as Canadian tax law requires, which is generally six years. The registration of a piece’s serial number is kept for the life of the piece, so that its authenticity can always be confirmed.

  7. How we protect it

We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to personal information.

  8. Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Write to atelier@maisondor.ca and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

  9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its effective date.
